Well done, I wanted to hear more though in reality I don't think you could have handled more! I was thinking God it would be so much fun to go on an adventure with her, but on second thought, maybe not...two Calamity Jane's together, not good.

What a lovely thought! I have always tried to do dangerous things safely rather than the other way around but these days Calamity Jane is about right! Thank you :-)

Thanks for the entertaining post.

Those Tuscan summer storms are amazing to behold. I've been holed up in the Uffizi Gallery - with hundreds of my closest friends - waiting for the rain to abate just enough to move outside without being drenched in 2 seconds. I've been stuck in a car under a row of trees, feeling as though I was on a rollercoaster as the wind blew, hoping the trees didn't get blown down or struck by lightning.

Having spent many an hour in Viareggio, I did enjoy seeing the picture of the familiar Bagno Stella Sud.

Yes I just love those storms! We rarely go to Viareggio so it was great to land there, it had a lovely old school vibe- we’ll be back! Would you recommend there for lunch?

I'm sure that one of the bagni on the beach would be lovely for lunch but sadly I can't recommend any of them. If you are traveling by car, personally I'm more of a fan of Marina di Pisa. Not as busy and some nice restaurants over the beach.

Wow. I always pictured Italy as calm and laid back.

Fabulously funny Pia. Remember the triple shot espresso that had us on an opening rally of 20+ shots worthy of Wimbledon doubles finals.

Oh yes! And one of us on a kiddies racquet!

So many adventures! Must be fun to go back and forth between the Uk and Tuscany 😍 I am in Como year round! Love your story

Thank you so much Lolly! Como is beautiful. We really would love to be in Italy full time but atm circumstances don't allow. We do have fun though, all the time, I love Italy! I also love our corner of England, but that is a very different vibe. Como though is so lovely and wonderful to have the mountains nearby and proper four seasons.
